I graduated in 1995 in Economics from the University of St. Gallen (Master’s Degree in Economics/lic.oec. HSG). Then I joined a Swiss private bank in Lugano, where I learned the asset management business. Afterwards I moved to Zurich to work at a major Swiss bank as a portfolio manager. I lead an equity market team and was deputy head of team Switzerland. Afterwards I worked for a private bank in Zurich as a senior portfolio manager. I worked as an independent financial consultant and for several years as director I was responsible for the portfolio management division at a Zurich-based independent asset manager. Since 2012 I have been working as an independent asset manager and CEO at the Swiss independent asset management company Grimaldi & Partners Ltd.

I regularly publish articles about financial markets and the economy.

I obtained 2001 the title of Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute and the title of Teacher in Business Education from the University of St. Gallen. I had a lectureship in Economics and Law at a Zurich cantonal school.

I am Swiss. I speak German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
